My Top Three Deep Conditioners for 2013

Hi my Nffs (Natural Friends Foreva) LOL!!!. Just a quick blog to share my favorite deep conditioners in 2013. As some of you may know I suffered from Protein damage last year and as a result Deep conditioners became my best friend. It didn't take many trial and errors before I realized that these three were all winners in their own right. Anyway, before I start a-babbling, let me get right to the point. The finalists in the Best Deep Conditioner Category are:

1. Shea Moisture Organic African Black Soap Purification Masque

Yes its a mouth full but worth every word in the title :) This is rated in the top three not only because of its outstanding moisturizing ability but also because it doubles up as a cleanser and is very effective as the name suggests, in purifying the hair and scalp. What a wonderful combination!!! The creamy, clay colored goodness almost melts into the hair and provides instant detangling benefits. Oh how I love it so. Its a keeper and I hope Shea moisture has no plans to modify the formula....what isn't broken, don't fix it.

2. Eden Body Works Jojoba Monoi Deep Conditioner

I am deeply in love with this Deep Conditioner. It is thick, rich and smooth in texture and it just embrace my strands with such intimacy that leaves it feeling satisfied time after time. It is one of the few Deep Conditioners on the market that doesn't have some type of protein in it. When I'm experiencing severe dryness and looking for soft, touchable hair this is my Go To conditioner. The smell is unique but not over powering. My stash wouldn't be the same without it. Amazing!!!

3. Homemade Avocado/Coconut Milk Deep Conditioner

Nothing beats Mama's good ole' Home remedies not only to treat illnesses but sure enough to achieve the most healthy hair ever. Looking back at my childhood days I vividly remember those "disgusting" egg and mayonnaise hair treatments. Although they were not the most pleasant, there were very effective at getting the job done and far superseded the effectiveness of any store bought hair products out there. Once I began my Natural Journey I started to draw for some of those old time concoctions and put my own spin on them. One of my favorite Deep Conditioners of all time is my Avocado/Coconut Milk Deep Conditioner. Can we say moisturizing?? It is also strengthening to the hair and leaves it looking strong and silky at the same time. Below is my YouTube tutorial showing how I make and apply it. Enjoy!!!

    1. Oh thanks for sharing Mel. I will be sure to be on the look out for it. I'm game for trying a couple new ones this year. Where can it be purchased?
