Protect those Balls

I am torn between laughing, being impressed or SMH. This is a prime example of thinking outside the box. This is actually a genius idea and although I cannot begin to fathom what on earth triggered this idea, I must admit that it is very stellar. When I look at this pic, the Green House Effect and the Baggy Method for natural hair comes to mind. Believe it or not this brilliant idea will not only keep her knots protected but will keep the ends of her hair moisturized. This right here could be the long awaited solution for length retention.
Would I personally do it????? Don't Think So!!!! but not knocking it....after all its just plastic....LOL.

Eden Body Works Coconut Shea Product Review

I was recently sent some products by Eden Body Works from their Coconut Shea Line. I received the All Natural Cleansing CoWash, the All Natural Leave In conditioner and the All Natural Curl Defining Creme. I used the products to prepare for styling with Flexi Rods and Curlfriends...........I am a HUGE fan.

I started with dry, dull, dirty hair that was in dire need of some TLC.

I proceeded to cleanse my hair with the CoWash, totally saturating my strands with water and generously applying the product all over from roots to tips. I then gently massaged my scalp to remove any buildup that existed. I then focused on the ends being sure to rub away dirt and buildup. The CoWash was amazingly thick and had the consistency of a deep conditioner. I was in Wash Day Heaven when I felt how soft and moisturized my hair felt after the application. Amazeballs!!!!!

I got so much moisture from the CoWash that I decided to double it as not only a cleanser but also a conditioner..... "Say what now??"" Yes chile you heard right, your girl found that magic potion, cleansed as well as a shampoo and softens as well as a conditioner. I covered my hair with a plastic cap and allowed the CoWash to sit for 15 minutes. It had a pleasant and fresh fragrance, but didn't particularly smell like Coconut or Shea, which for me was a plus.

Y'all know that one of the biggest dramas we face as naturals is that of detangling. Oh how we dread the process and many products come up short with their claim to offering a solution to such woes. Well guess what??? I detangled like a breeze with this CoWash. The product has so much slip that it makes it an excellent detangler. I experienced an amazingly small amount of shedding at the end of the process. This will DEFINITELY be a permanent staple in my hair care regimen.

So after rinsing the CoWash from my hair, I went straight to styling, using the Leave In Conditioner and Curl Defining Creme together as my styling aids. I then rolled my hair on Flexi Rods and sat under a bonnet dryer for 2 hours. Then it was time for the Take Down.

My, my, my..........the result was silky, shiny and well defined curls that were bouncy and soft to the touch. This combination of products have pooled their efforts and have made me one extremely satisfied customer. Thank you Eden Body Works, your products Rock!!!

Misto Oil Sprayer.......Making Natural Hair Care that much easier.

Misto Oil Sprayer is a Oerosol-Like bottle designed to hold and dispense oil. Although designed for the kitchen, I discovered that it is a wonderful alternative to the traditional oil bottles with the regular cap or even the ones with a nozzle. Oh how disturbing it is to be attempting to apply naturals oils to my hair only to have it drip all over my immediate surroundings and not to mention the devastating instances when it makes contact with an item of clothing UGHHHH!!!

The bottle has a pump cover which has to be depressed a few times until the compression has built up to the point where the it is unable to further pump. The bottle is made of aluminum and is very sleek and attractive, and comes in a range of vibrant colors. The bottle should be filled only half way in order to allow for the pumping process.

Since I use oils on a daily basis, I do cartwheels in my mind at the thought of having this awesome bottle to ensure that the oil application process is drama free and that the oil is evenly distributed or concentrated in the desired areas.

Although the bottle was designed to be used with olive oil, you can pretty much use your favorite oil with the bottle.

I don't know one natural who isn't happy every time they discover a product, tool, gadget, or accessory,  to make their natural hair regimen easier. Tho not designed for us, we sure reinvented the wheel and made it our own. Be sure to try it, I know you will love it. It is available at Bed Bath & Beyond and Marshalls.

Lupita Nyong'o Aced it!!!.....Simple but Stunning.

Our girl Lupita Nyong'o graced the Red Carpet at the 2014 Oscar Awards last night. Her style is ever so elegant and she emits such confidence and poise. Her hair was worn in somewhat of a simple semi-mohawk, TWA accessorized with a diamond-encrusted headband. Although the hairstyle was only decided upon a few hours before the show, her hair stylist Larry Sims did an amazing job incorporating the headband which he was made aware of at the last minute.

Products Used

Only Three products were used to achieve the hairdo

1. Smooth N' Shine Go Pro Curls Gelle Parfait

2. Smooth N' Shine Go Pro Gro Creme Oil

3. got2b Rise N' Shine Luminous Lift Hairspray

I love that Lupita is very adventurous where her hair is concerned and she is always ready to take risks. Her fun, playful, down to earth personality explains her free spirited approach to her hair.

A true powerhouse in the Natural Hair Community!!
